Good Morning.
Putting the spring flowers in a vase.
Another of my simple little vases of flowers. Three sprigs of summer flowers and some cuttings of shrub.

Losing The City
Leaving the big city to visit friends and the flower garden.
We traveled 14+ hours to smell the ocean and cross the ferry into a land filled with the songs of birds, the crash of a wave and towering trees. We fell into the warmth of friends and the house they built nestled in a garden of trees and flowers and when I finish posting this, I am off to a cherry cider and a laugh or two or three.

Hexalectris Grandiflora
Until last year, Hexalectris grandiflora was known only from a few locations in Mexico and far western Texas. But then one turned up here. Nobody knows for sure how or when or why, or how long it was here before it was discovered. These flowers aren’t only rare — they’re also very beautiful. That’s a great combination, as far as I’m concerned.

Keeping The Dog Out
A guide on keeping the dog out of the flower bed.
I have a lot of plants I consider to be my favorites. Cala Lilies, Day Lilies, Canna Lilies, Spiderwort, Hollyhocks. I guess to tell you the truth I like almost anything that blooms.

Destination: Taranaki, North Island
A nice garden in the middleNext we rolled into Stratford and decided to spend a few days chilling out and taking in the sights. We got ourselves a small studio room ($46/night) at the Stratford Top 10 Holiday Park, about two blocks off the main drag in town. It was cute, quiet, and run by an affable sixty-something year old british woman who had a keen eye for gardening as we were surrounded by an amazing palette of colorful flowers.

Gardening My Way
BuyingGardening - my husband would tell you that I certainly don’t *garden*. I buy flowers, put them in pots, enjoy until they die, then dump them in the compost pile. Oh, also coming up with landscaping ideas for Will to implement.
