Build A White Picket Fence
The white picket fence is a classic American landscape element.
According to Landscaping Ideas Online, “the ‘cute little house with a white picket fence’ is shorthand for the desires of those who want to move up the socio economic ladder and are seeking home ownership”. Picket fences have not always been a rare item to find; in fact they date all the way back to the First Period when “picket fences [were] used as a means of distinguishing territorial ownership”. Now, with just a few tools from your local hardware store and some wood supplies, you can build your own white picket fence for you home.

I am from South Africa too. The white fence remind me of romantic stories from the USA. We have thick hedges around our garden and some aloe plants with nice sharp teeth.

Its amazing how a little white fence just completes a home I just love it, pity here in South Africa thats one thing that one can't have and never see as people have 6' walls that they hid behind.
